USMC Toys for Tots

Tom served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War (1970-71).
After his honorable discharge, he joined American Legion Post 103 in Westbrook, CT, and became a member of the post's monthly flag-

raising to honor deceased shoreline veterans.

The choreography of that ceremony became the subject of his original song, " Call To Colors ", available on his CD of the same name.

In mid-2011 Tom joined the New London Detachment (#1334) of The Marine Corps League.  Since his hectic performing schedule often renders him unavailable to attend meetings and/or work
on MCL projects, he wanted to do something to support the detachment's common goals.

Toward that end, Tom has presented Family Holiday Concerts for the "Toys For Tots" program in 2011 and 2012, where admission was an unwrapped toy for the less-fortunate.  Past posters are attached as PDFs.

Hopefully a concert like this may end up being an annual event.
Here are two photos from the detachment's celebration of the 236 th birthday
of the USMC on November 10, 2011.
